Keep your own copies of saved studies, calculations, reports and imported files. Download all workspace records together or choose the individual files below.

Individual study file names start with the study title. Files of a signed report add its number, for example Glucose - analyzer comparability - signed report 1.pdf. With a signed report open, the CSV, JSON and plots under Other downloads come from the calculation it was signed off from.

Workspace records#

An owner or administrator opens Settings › Records and chooses Download workspace records. Keep a copy outside the service after completing a study or making corrections.

The download contains the selected workspace's saved records and history, including items still in Trash. Unzip it to find:

  • calculations/: each saved calculation as JSON, its study data and results-summary CSVs, and its stored report HTML. Recorded calculation corrections have their own corrected/ folder.
  • reports/ and project-reports/: saved report HTML and previously stored PDFs. Each signed study report also includes the data and calculation it was signed off from.
  • imports/: tables as imported and the original files retained by the service.
  • records/ and studies.sqlite3: the complete workspace records and their history; stored-files/ holds other retained file content.
  • manifest.json: file checksums and record counts.

The download makes no new PDFs. It includes no sign-in data or records from other workspaces. For an individual report PDF that has not been stored, use Download PDF on its Report stage.

The Reports page#

Reports in the menu lists every study's report and each saved project report in the workspace. Search with Find a report (study, analyte, instrument or signer), or filter by Project, Study type and Result (All results, Met, Not met, Undecided or Not evaluated). Clear resets them.

Each row shows the study or report, the project, analyte, instrument, Result, who signed it and the date, with a PDF link. A study's current report heads its row, with no signer until you sign it off. Earlier reports sit under earlier reports on the row. Select a study report to open the study's Report stage.

Study data (CSV)#

One line per entered row, including excluded rows, to check against the report's data listing. Columns include:

  • the identifiers Specimen ID, Level, Day, Run and Replicate, the study-specific columns, and the row's Instrument
  • Result as entered, Result after correction and Value used, the number the calculation read
  • Excluded and Reason excluded
  • Source file, Row in source file and Entry order, which trace the row to its import file
  • on every line, Unit, Data version, Number format, Study, Analyte, Matrix, Study instruments, Method, Assigned values and Criteria, a summary of the acceptance limits

A derived sigma study has one line per sigma entry, with TEa, bias, imprecision, sources and links to the source studies.

A text cell beginning with =, +, -, @, a tab or a line break gets a leading apostrophe so a spreadsheet treats it as text. Numbers such as -5.2 are written as they are. This protection also applies to the results summary CSV.

Results summary (CSV)#

Use Results summary (CSV) to transfer the saved calculation into a validation workbook. It covers every study type, including derived sigma. The file keeps the saved numbers at full precision; it does not calculate new values or round them to the report's displayed digits.

The file is a long table: one named estimate, interval, limit or supporting result per line. Filter Section, Level, Specimen and Metric to find what you need. The named estimates come first, followed by acceptance limits and supporting details such as regression fits, dilution recovery, specimen agreement, material profiles and timepoint decisions.

Each line identifies the study, calculation, data version and Method ID. Value and Unit hold the estimate. Interval lower, Interval upper, Interval meaning and Confidence (%) keep confidence intervals separate from quantities such as limits of agreement or a supported range. Criterion, Rule, Limit lower, Limit upper, Target, Tolerance and Tolerance unit describe saved acceptance limits; Status and Reason keep their outcomes and explanations.

Zero is a number. A blank value with Availability set to unavailable means the saved calculation could not provide that quantity; partly available means only part of an interval was available. Read the saved reason. Availability is separate from the limit decision: an unavailable estimate must not be read as meeting a limit. Counts and dimensionless quantities have a blank unit.

The latest calculation and a signed report may come from different data. Download from the report you intend to document; its results summary uses the same saved calculation as its study data CSV and JSON file.

Calculation file (JSON)#

The complete saved calculation: the data version's rows, settings and acceptance limits, every estimate and interval, limit outcomes with reasons, study notes, method statements, sources, Method ID, findings, and the software and report-layout versions. Use it for full-precision numbers or to archive a calculation.

Report files#

  • Download PDF: the report you are viewing. For a signed report, the PDF made at sign-off, whatever the view settings.
  • Black & white copy (PDF): a monochrome copy. With Include technical details ticked it reads Black & white copy with technical details (PDF).
  • Copy with technical details (PDF): for a signed report viewed with Include technical details, a copy with the supporting diagnostics, detailed methods and audit trail.
  • Copy on Letter paper (PDF) or Copy on A4 paper (PDF): a signed report on the paper size chosen in your display settings.
  • Signed report file (HTML): the saved report with embedded fonts for offline viewing.
  • Print, beside the PDF button: your browser's print dialog. Choose "Save as PDF" for a file.

Include technical details adds diagnostics, detailed methods and the audit trail to the view, the printout and the PDF. To download it, use Download PDF, or for a signed report, Other downloads › Copy with technical details (PDF). If a download fails, see Report problems.

Plots#

Method comparison, lot comparison, and the results plots of descriptive, repeatability, multi-day precision and bias studies download as SVG or PNG. Each file carries a short study title, the result count, labelled axes and any interpretation needed below the graph. See Reading results.

Original import files#

Each imported file is kept as received, except that columns naming patients are left out. On Set up, open Imported files and choose the file name.

  • CSV, TSV or pasted text downloads as received.
  • An XLSX workbook downloads as the original workbook, or, when it had patient-identifier columns, only as table as imported. table as imported gives the chosen worksheet as tab-separated text, as mapped.

The report's audit trail prints each import's SHA-256 checksum, so you can show a file is the one the report used.

Project report files#

A saved project report has its own PDF, color PDF, original saved PDF and saved HTML downloads. See Project reports.
